Dear Vendor:
Houston Style Magazine eagerly anticipates the 4TH Annual Houston Multicultural Health Festival ("HMHF" or more commonly known as "the Festival"). This one-of-a-kind multicultural health festival will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010. The Festival will not only be a source of wonderful entertainment but will raise consciousness, provide education and preventive measures to address chronic diseases currently plaguing our communities.
We welcome your support and involvement!
The Festival will allow your business to showcase its brands, products and services to thousands of consumers across the state of Texas and will provide a venue for you to make direct sales and/or sales leads.
The HMHF will bring together on one day
- 10,000+ visitors
- Inspirational Choirs and Praise Dance Groups
- Entertainment and demonstrations
- Food and Business Vendors
- Arts & Craft Vendors
- Medical Experts including Physicians, Dentists and Podiatrists
- Health Organizations and Hospitals Providing Free Health Screenings
The following organizations teamed to produce the HMHF: Houston Style Magazine, City of Houston Health and Human Services Dept., and UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center-Centers for Research on Minority Health, KRIV Fox 26, KTXH My 20, and Change Happens! (formerly- Families Under Urban and Social Attack-FUUSA).
An annual family festival event supported by Houston Mayor Annise Parker, the HMHF has goals to unite Houston’s multicultural communities to elevate the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle and help eliminate Houston’s ranking on the national “Fattest Cities in America” list compiled by Men’s Fitness Magazine.
The HMHF will receive extensive local, regional and national media coverage. HMHF press releases will be issued nationally using PR Newswire and Black Wire. HMHF media partners include Gospel Truth Magazine, KRIV Fox 26, KTXH My 20, Houston Style Magazine, Houston Chronicle, I-10 Media, African American News & Issues, Greensheet, Gospel Truth Magazine, D-MARS.com, Minority Executive Report, Strong Times and Heart & Soul Magazine.
A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the HMHF fiscal agent, Change Happens! (formerly- FUUSA (www.changehappenstx.org), a 17-year-old Houston community-based 501(c)3 non-profit agency that serves adults and at-risk youths in Harris and 12 surrounding counties.
We look forward to working together with event sponsors, exhibitors, and Houston’s vast medical community to make the Houston Multicultural Heath Festival an annual event that is mutually beneficial to all.
